I was inspired by Stephen Sinofsky’s Twitter thread on writing and thought the other day and felt that I needed to start working through my thoughts in a more public and open manner. The intent is that by sharing them with the world, I will be more careful in crafting them and that feedback will broaden my world view.

The blog is named is named after a U2 quote from the end of the Joshua Tree era. The story goes that U2 knew it was the end of something but they didn’t know where they were going after that. You can read their words about it on this @U2 site:

I was explaining to people the other night, but I might’ve got it a bit wrong — this is just the end of something for U2. My goals here are to share my interests and thoughts, promote a more open web (lots of links), and hopefully make some friends along the way.
